Ruins of Pompeii
Part 2 of Aunt Queen's Cameo Collection involves Pompeii. Or rather, the ruins left behind after Mount Vesuvius erupted. There was no way to get a scenic cameo of Pompeii with that volcano in the background without it reminding me of Mount Hood.
Guess where I live, kids.
No, Mount Hood has not erupted. Yet. It is, however, known for an adorable little in called...the Timberline Lodge. If you have ever seen The Shining (1980), then look at an image of the Timberline Lodge, you'll recognize its exterior as the Overlook Hotel from the film.
As for Mount Vesuvius, it most certainly did erupt. What it left behind fascinates and horrifies people across the world to this day. As Quinn's maker can tell you. Firsthand.
I decided, why not? Let's see what Pompeii, an ancient city that is known today as an archaeological dig site, might look like had someone exquisitely carved it in shell...
