World of the Witches

Here I have uploaded scans of the maps from Katherine Ramsland's book, The Witches' Companion, showing Rowan and Lasher's path through the U.S., Britain and Europe. Also included are the maps of New Orleans and San Francisco as pertains to the story, and of 6th Century Scotland. Below all of that are links to websites about several places that the books are set in along with a goody or two here and there.

There will be more of the world of the Mayfair Witches to see here, so please keep checking this page of the Parlor for more!

Rowan and Lasher's Trip

Rowan and Lasher left New Orleans on Christmas Day and immediately flew to New York, where Lasher procured a passport.  This was so the two of them could fly from New York to Frankfurt, Germany, where Rowan began her observations and examinations of Lasher's growth and development.  From there, they went to Zurich, transferring large sums of money from the Mayfair Legacy to fund their flight and Rowan's research.  From Zurich, they flew to Paris, where more research was conducted in the labs with Rowan acting as a visiting physician.  Between Zurich and Paris, Rowan updates her will, instructing that Michael Curry has the right to live in the First Street house for the remainder of his life.  She also learns of his drowning in the First Street pool on Christmas Day.

From Paris, the two went to Berlin, again using the laboratory facilities there to examine Lasher.  It is from Berlin that Rowan and Lasher finally enter Great Britain, first arriving in London, and then making their way north, to Donnelaith, Scotland.  This is where Lasher finally remembers who he is upon seeing the ruins of the Cathedral.  It is also where Rowan's appearance is so alarming that one of the locals almost suggested she see a doctor, even though she is herself a doctor.  The two of them travel back to London.

Rowan manages to salvage what is left of her research notes, charts and specimens and send them to Dr. Samuel Larkin in San Francisco.  She also manages to call him.  Reportedly, this package was sent by the concierge at the hotel Rowan and Lasher were staying at in Geneva.  From Geneva, the two make their way back to the United States, going to Houston, Texas via New York.  It is in Houston, Rowan convinces Lasher, that the hub of research facilities are, and they will be able to rent a building that has been vacated due to the oil depression.  This they do, and it is at this point that Rowan is left bound in a room on the upper floors of the high rise they rent while Lasher returns to New Orleans to begin his mating rampage upon the Mayfair women.
